Writing Journey

When I decided to seriously pursue my career in writing books (for children and adults), I knew educating myself was the best way to go in order to become a better writer and to learn about publishing. This is a listing of the events I have participated in or attended.

2019:
MAY: I won First Place-Scott Meyer Award (received at the Millbrook Literary Festival) 

2017:
Monthly: attends local SCBWI Shop Talk meetings in Poughkeepsie 
MARCH: Unicorn Writer's Conference (Purchase, NY)

2016:

MAY: My YA short story, The Haunting Season, is a finalist for the Scott Meyer Award
JUNE: Children's Writers of the Hudson Valley Conference (Poughkeepsie, NY) 
OCTOBER: My New Adult paranormal romance, Much Like Falling, is a finalist in On the Far Side contest (RWA group)
NOVEMBER: The Haunting Season receives an Honorable Mention in the Pages From the Heart Contest
NOVEMBER: The Haunting Season receives an Honorable Mention in the Hudson Valley Writer's Guild 2016 Fiction Contest 

2015:
