Spooktacular Giveaway Hop

The 4th Annual Spooktacular Giveaway Hop is my first blog hop as an author and it's exciting. This hop is hosted by I Am A Reader, Not A Writer and there are over three hundred and fifty blogs participating. That's a huge hop and the full listing can be found here. This giveaway is open internationally and ends at midnight on October 31st.

Since I go to quite a few conferences and book signing events throughout the year, I thought it would great to offer one reader a boxed collection of YA books and swag. Some of these books (a mix of paperbacks and ARCs) included in the box are:

Life After Theft (Life After Theft #1)
by Aprilynne Pike
YA paranormal
Paperback/eBook, 352 pages
Published April 30th 2013 by HarperTeen (first published April 1st 2013)

Moving to a new high school sucks. Especially a rich-kid private school. With uniforms. But nothing is worse than finding out the first girl you meet is dead. And a klepto.

No one can see or hear Kimberlee except Jeff, so--in hopes of bringing an end to the snarkiest haunting in history--he agrees to help her complete her "unfinished business." But when the enmity between Kimberlee and Jeff's new crush, Sera, manages to continue posthumously, Jeff wonders if he's made the right choice.

Clash meets sass in this uproarious modern-day retelling of Baroness Orczy's The Scarlet Pimpernel.

The Morning Star (Katerina #3)
by Robin Bridges
YA paranormal historical
Hardcover, 288 pages
Published August 27th 2013 by Delacorte Books for Young Readers

St. Petersburg, Russia, 1890

Katerina Alexandrovna, Duchess of Oldenburg, wants to be known as a doctor, not a necromancer. But Tsar Alexander III forbids women to attend medical school; his interest in Katerina extends only to her ability to raise the dead. Twice now, Katerina has helped him by using her power to thwart the forces of darkness—vampires bent on resurrecting the lich tsar Konstantin Pavlovich so that he can take what he sees as his rightful place on the throne. Katerina thought she had bound Konstantin to the Greylands, the realm of the dead, but he has found a way out. Now he is searching for the Morning Star, a sword that will allow him to command a legion of supernatural warriors.

Katerina must find the sword before Konstantin does—and she must travel to Egypt to do so. Along the way, she puts up with unwanted attention from her former fiancĂ©, the nefarious Prince Danilo, and struggles with her feelings for her true love, George Alexandrovich. But with the looming threat from Konstantin, Katerina's focus remains on the sword. Russia's fate will be determined by whoever wields the Morning Star—and delivers the final blow.

Fiery Edge of Steel (Noon Onyx #2) by Jill Archer
Paranormal
Paperback, 336 pages
Published May 28th 2013 by Ace

Lucifer and his army triumphed at Armageddon, leaving humans and demons living in uncertain peace based on sacrifice and strict laws. It is up to those with mixed demon and human blood, the Host, to prevent society from falling into anarchy.

Noon Onyx is the first female Host in memory to wield the destructive waning magic that is used to maintain order among the demons. Her unique abilities, paired with a lack of control and reluctance to kill, have branded her as an outsider from her peers. Only her powerful lover, Ari Carmine, and a roguish and mysterious Angel, Rafe Sinclair, support her unconventional ways.

When Noon is shipped off to a remote outpost to investigate several unusual disappearances, a task which will most likely involve trying and killing the patron demon of that area, it seems Luck is not on her side. But when the outpost settlers claim that an ancient and evil foe has stepped out of legend to commit the crimes, Noon realizes that she could be facing something much worse than she ever imagined…
