Hearing the news that Davy Jones had passed away yesterday was saddening to me and to so many other fans. The most charming one of the comical foursome, The Monkees, Davy held a special place in my heart. He was my first crush. Before Bobby Sherman, David Cassidy, Donny Osmond, and the one Tiger Beat star I was totally crazy over, Shaun Cassidy, there was Davy Jones. That cute face, the VOICE, the accent, the simple charm, he was special. Who didn't want to Marcia Brady on that memorable episode of The Brady Bunch? Hearing Daydream Believer always takes me back to my childhood, glued to the tv whenever The Monkees was on. Rest in peace, Mr. Jones.
